Who built this library and all the other sections encompassed by room 4? The architect of these structures represents an intelligence beyond anything my parents could assemble. The architecture feels ancient; perhaps it was erected by insects or grew organically from the Earth? I do not suggest this facetiously, I can only guess the origins of these pedagogic structures. As to the key, there are many books in the great library with padlocked covers and impregnable casings.
So we've got about two weeks until we present our Phi Books project in Berlin. Al,eaxandra and I are meeting on Thursday to make components for our installation - pages copied from the books arranged in map-like configurations with spaces for participants to add their own contributions, we'll add these to this journal/blog (unless they say our work is idiotic or something? Maybe that would be amusing). Alexandra is designing a great program, but she says she doesnt like it, I particuarly like the arrangement of quotes from our books - it reminded me of a book cover and play program - but she's going to change it so no point in harking on...
